The Communications Department is responsible for keeping you, the homeowner, informed of SOA projects and general activity. Many avenues are used to do this, such as:

This website – covers the functions of each department and the SOA’s role, as well as Board meeting dates, minutes, Committee activity etc. It is updated regularly in order to provide the latest information.

Weekly Email Newsletters – sent weekly and when necessary to allow time sensitive information to be distributed immediately. If you would like to sign up to receive these emails, please register for an account on this website, where you will be prompted to join the email list, text messaging and to be included in the online directory if you choose.

Text Messaging – used to communicate important information, such as an accident on Hwy 98 that is affecting traffic within the community or an emergency gate closure, etc. This emergency messaging system will only be used in extreme circumstances. Click here for more information and to sign up.

Owner Directory – There is an on-line owner Owner Directory, which is available under the Homeowners menu, accessible by registered users once logged into this site.  Owners have the option to be included in this Directory and it is able to be filtered by neighborhood or you can search by name.

SOA Informational Videos – The Communications Committee and Executive Director, Tom Cooper have created to keep homeowners and guests informed on commonly asked questions. Click here for a full list of videos available.

In addition, the Customer Service Representatives (CSR) report to the Communications Department.  The CSR responsibilities include issuing vehicle access decals for homeowners, employees, contractors, etc., registering golf carts, assisting new owners, and addressing a variety of other issues and needs of our customers. The office hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed for lunch 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Owner Vehicle Decals
Black Electronic Access Decals (RFID) are the current homeowner vehicle decals and remain in effect as long as you are an owner, or as long as you own the car for which the RFID is assigned. Each owner may receive 2 RFIDs free and purchase up to 3 more.  In order to receive an RFID, please bring your vehicle registration/tag receipt into the office as they may only be issued for vehicles that are registered to the property owner. If you have family members that visit often, you may register them as permanent guests on the Guest Registration Website.

Golf Cart Decals
All golf carts that are operated on the roadways are required to be registered with the SOA.  Each owner may have only two carts registered, regardless of the number of units owned.  In order to register your cart, please bring proof of insurance which identifies your golf cart specifically via the year make model and vin/serial number and the cart to the SOA office.  If you are purchasing a new Golf Cart, please be sure to read the Golf Cart Policy (Rev. 10.26.2023) in order to ensure it complies with the requirements for registration.  As a reminder, the revised policy does include a 2-year registration fee of $100 per cart.  Please note, some neighborhood associations have golf cart parking restrictions which may require a Parking Authorization Form be completed prior to registering a golf cart with the SOA. Please check with your neighborhood association manager regarding any restrictions prior to purchasing a cart.

Contractor/Service Decals – 2024 Decals Expire 1/24/25
All vehicles that enter the gates to provide service are required to an RFID (decal), which is renewed annually. In order to register your vehicle, please bring a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and your vehicle registration/tag receipt into the office. The cost of a Contractor decal is $50/vehicle and a Service decal is $35/vehicle, limit of two per driver’s license. Staff will inform you per your vocation which decal you will be issued.

In an effort to streamline the process of obtaining decals for Company vehicles, please complete the SOA Fleet Form and return to the office in person or via email to soafleet@gmail.com. Please note: Do not sent payment with the form. You will be notified when the renewal is ready, and payment will be due at that time. An incomplete or a copy of last year’s form will NOT be accepted.
